Why Myntra decided to cut off it's 200 brands.






Myntra now is focusing on building the brand image and is only targeting on the big and the famous brands only.

The reason been it just want to increase the profits. There are few brands listed on the site which only have a sale of about 2-3 products a day.

In turn the big brands have a large margin because of the brand value and the price. As price is proportional to the quality.

 Myntra wants to work on this aspect and is only targeting good and big brands. On the other hand in the near future customers will have a perception that when it comes to quality, Myntra is the only one to choose from.

In all Myntra's CEO Ananth Narayan, said that- they want to be known for the quality and so are focusing on the brand Image.

On the other hand, it will be a difficult thing for Amazon, as Flipkart's Myntra and recently acquired Jabong will not leave a single stone not been turned to beat the giant.
